Community Tax Aid, Inc. (CTA) is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization which has been preparing tax returns FREE for low-income taxpayers since 1969. CTA is dedicated to providing all services (state, city, and federal personal income tax forms) with the special needs of and benefits for low income taxpayers in mind. As many tax preparers are not geared to low-income taxpayers, CTA provides special training to its volunteers. This training is directed toward the special needs of its clients. CTA never charges for its services and its clients must all meet its income guidellines.
